Johnny Chauvin has been living and breathing music since early childhood. Born & raised in Franklin, LA, Johnny started playing the guitar at the age of twelve. He then furthered his musical talents by picking up the banjo at fourteen, then the mandolin at sixteen. It was in 1990 that Johnny wanted to try an instrument that had always fascinated him, the cajun accordion. He purchased his first accordion, a Falcon, the same brand played by the greats like Wayne Toups etc. Johnny had found a new outlet for his musical expression.

He went on to do spot jobs with various artists like Waylon Thibodaux, Wild Rice, La Red, Don Rich and many more. It was in the year 2001 that Johnny decided to venture out on his own, starting the Mojo Band. Together with a talented group of serious musicians, Johnny found the sound he's been looking for. His charisma on stage is infectious, he will definately put you in a great mood before the first song is done.

Paul, as referred to some as, T-Paul, hails from a small suburb of Lafayette, Louisiana called Broussard. He began his long journey into music at the age of five when his mother, by the persuasion of his grandfather, bought him his first guitar. By the time high school came along he was an accomplished trombonist performing in the marching band, symphonic band, and the jazz ensemble but he never did abandon his vocal nor guitar talents. Playing clubs in and out of Louisiana through the years, he has shared the same stage with many musicians such as, Gary US Bonds, Wynton and Branford Marsalis, Ras Cloud, Big Sam (saxophonist), Andy Smith, Show and Tell, Valerie Andrus and others.

Believing that a God given talent should not be wasted, Paul is still performing, songwriting, and producing with The MOJO Band, and does occasional solo and duet performances as well. As he states, quote: "Music is at its' best when performing and sharing it with your audience and that, for me, is when life is most enjoyable......"

After a 15 year retirement from performing, Mike joined the MOJO band in January 2009. He lives near Youngsville, Louisiana but his musical roots lie in Opelousas, where he grew up feasting on a rich gumbo of some of South Louisiana's finest musicians: the swamp pop of TK Hulin, the zydeco of Clifton Chenier, The R&B of Little Bob, the jazz of Francis "Daddy Red" Fabacher, and of course pop/rock bands such as Zebra, Cosmic Skyye, etc.

Mike's earliest musical experience was playing saxophone in sixth thru tenth grade concert and marching bands. His parents bought him an acoustic guitar at age 15 after they noticed him tuning and playing his younger brothers' toy guitar. He begain playing and singing along at once and has not stopped since. His varied influences include Steve Perry, Brad Delp, Eric Clapton, Prince, Edward Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Buddy Guy. Mike has performed with numerous local bands, most notably the Fenders, Show and Tell, Deluxe and Longbody.

On bass is Chalan THibodeaux, a country singer and phenomenal bassist. His accolades are numerous, and has played in numerous bands, such as Kip Sonnier , Spitkup, Steer Crooked, etc. If you get a chance to hear him perform with the MOJO band, close your eyes and you will hear, Merle Haggard, Randy Travis etc., a must see performer....
